Born in Istanbul on August 26, Öznacar discovered his profound affinity for music at an early age, first through the piano and later with classical guitar. What began as a childhood curiosity soon blossomed into a lifelong devotion to the arts.

During his formative years, he expanded his artistic pursuits to include theater, immersing himself in the world of performance and acting. Despite his youth, he graced the stage in numerous major productions, displaying a precocious talent and a deep passion for storytelling. In high school, alongside his artistic endeavors, he cultivated a strong interest in athletics, training rigorously for competitive swimming. This balance between discipline and creativity would shape the foundation of his future career.

Öznacar’s formal artistic journey continued at the prestigious Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, where he studied in the Opera Department and graduated with honors. His years at the conservatory were marked by a rich and multifaceted education: harmony, counterpoint, stagecraft, costume and makeup design, acting, and even fencing became part of his artistic repertoire. It was also during these years, in 2003, that he composed his very first film scores, discovering the medium that would ultimately define his artistic calling.

Since 2011, Öznacar has served as the founder and director of two art academies, institutions dedicated to nurturing the talents of young musicians—most notably children aged 3 to 12. Through this work, he has passed on not only technical knowledge but also his enduring love for music and performance.

Yet throughout his journey, one passion has remained constant: the art of film scoring. For Öznacar, composing music for cinema is not merely an accompaniment to the screen—it is the act of breathing life into images, of translating emotion into sound. His scores weave together atmosphere and narrative, creating worlds where music and moving image merge into one. Today, he resides in Türkiye, composing for both domestic and international productions, while also contributing to the film industry as an assistant director on numerous projects.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Öznacar shares his insights and love for the horror genre on his YouTube channel, where he reviews and reflects on the chilling artistry of horror cinema.
